“Promoting Peace in the Bushi” is a documentary storytelling project amplifying the voices of women, families, and communities affected by conflict and gender-based violence in the Bushi Kingdom of eastern DRC.

Helping Hand for Survivors Inc.

A 45+ minute documentary exploring the Bushi Kingdom will uncover the causes and consequences of violence—and the courage of those working for peace. The documentary film will be used for community screenings and to reach a broader public on television and streaming platforms, significantly raising awareness of the issues.

Beyond the film, the documentary media project will include community engagement activities that will delve deeper into the issues and tell stories related to gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and promoting a culture of peace in the Bushi Kingdom and DRC.
